We are excited to announce that a new seven-storey mixed-use development has been approved by the Metro Inner North JDAP. Located at 554 Newcastle Street, the new premises will operate as Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), in conjunction with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).



The development includes:

  • 15 apartments across the second to sixth floors, designed specifically for people with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs

  • First floor commercial office space

  • Two carers’ rooms

  • Communal indoor and outdoor spaces and various ground floor seating areas and landscaped areas

  • Car and bicycle parking bays, including 10 bays with EV chargers

This SDA initiative provides more accessible housing options, allowing residents to live more independently while ensuring effective and safe delivery of support. We are thrilled to see this incredible initiative come to life!
