Project Overview

This project involves an amendment to the City of Wanneroo’s District Planning Scheme to facilitate the development of a Medical Centre. 
The local context of Landsdale has been identified as a District Workforce Shortage area for General Practitioners and Specialist Medical Practitioners. More flexible planning provisions were needed to be introduced to enable a Medical Centre to occur. Being located within an established residential area, numerous issues required detailed examination to ensure that the development had no adverse impact on surrounding residents. 
Proactive liaisons and negotiations were undertaken with the local authority and local residents to ensure that the objectives of the proposal were understood and to streamline the assessment process.
